Hey Guys!

-1986 360 Hatch (Does run with current B200K engine.)
-1987 740Turbo - B230FT Engine (number on block says B230?)

I was up till 3am last night going through the corners of this forum and I am after some advice/tips anything, about taking out the B200K engine and dropping in a B230FT engine. I know it has been done before I just cant find much about it.
(Can someone link me to a build thread if possible?)

My main questions are ;
What parts/components will I be keeping from the 360 to work with the B230FT engine?
I know I can use the original 360' 5speed Manual but would I need to modify for it to fit/work? .. considering I'm pretty sure the B230FT engine is off a Automatic Transmission.

Any advice would be highly appreciated!

ignore the gearbox for a bit, the 360s clutch housing will bolt upto the block fine

you will need the hard water pipes to the heater matrix in the 360, as well as the oil pump and sump. If you plan on running a distributor for ignition then youll want the inteediate shaft and dizzy from the 200k

Physically getting the engine in is relatively easy, theyre pretty much the same engine ... the problem will be management

I am also building my 230, and how does one fit the intermediate shaft? Also regarding management, I'm doing 2.4. Writing every connection down in a book for future swaps too.
