Hello all, I have just been researching the wiring diagrams in the "green books" to look for the correct places to wire the new after market alarm. The green book says that the 340's have a delay timer on the interior lights and also rear door lights, however the haynes manual says that the delay lighting and rear door lights were only on the B200 engine.
As i do not have the car yet (counting the hours down) i can not check, is this the case that my 1.4 does not have this delay timer relay or rear door lights.
If this is indeed the case, does anyone have the relay and the rear lights (maybe rear door switches, and some pictures of the location of the switches) so i might wire them in?

AFAIK it was an optional extra, maybe fitted on a few special edition models. Its unlikely to be fitted.

360GLTs only in my experience, not sure from what MY but both my '88 and '89 had them

Ok, so i least know it is out there, does anyone happen to have the relay used, i would rather not use the ebay circuit boards.

Hi Ben,

AFIK 340s didn't have the delay relay as an "official" option, I guess it all depends on whether 340s had a similar wiring loom or not. I once retro fitted the relay to my '88 B200 360 GLi. Everything was pre-wired from the factory, all I had to do was remove the green cable in the picture, and fit the relay in the socket.

The location in my LHD car was just behind the instrument panel.

A good question actually! Google wasn't much help with the part number "51 201 701" or "VC 205 126".

The parts catalogue mentions

3205126 "Relay interior light"

... but I don't know if that's the correct one.
