Headlight Transplant!!!

Well this is another mod i have had in the pipepline!! As you will have noticed there arent many parts available to modify 300's so i'm just pushing some more modifications along to show they can be done!! For those of you at the meet in Stondon you may have seen me flashing some non 300 headlights around!! This is the reason!!
Its by no means an easy swap but should be a good one!! The light have two reflectors if you like, as you look at them the dim dip and mainbeam are the outside beam and the inside beams are the sidelight bulbs and spots so they will massively improve the lighting on the 300!!
Tonight i tried a trial fit to check things out and it is doable!! It may mean that bulb changing is a light out affair but i will look into that one!!!
The transplant will also involve a custom grill eyebrow arrangement to 'fill in the gaps'
What you reckon guys?
Cheers Adam

Like the spoiler and brandless front. The lights I don't know, depends on what your'e gonna do with the hood.

Basically the top corners of the grill will be extended around the tops of the lights to hide the gap. As the 300 bonnet/hood tips forward, theres not a lot i can do there!!

you might have to be careful whilst mounting to ensure that the headlight aim is within tollerances. what are the lights from?

Liking that a lot mate especially if it improves lighting, my eyes were killing after straining to see on the way back from the meet! Could you not use your light brows and mould them into the front grill then just fill and gaps that are left with glass fibre?
cheers

You're right 300 headlights are crap and it's hard to do anything with them dipped beam wise. Full beam not a problem, just get some driving lights.. but that does nothing for the poor dipped beam performance!

i like the square headlamps gives it that 1980's look......
as for them they seem good from this angle.... im not quite sure though..... i would get mesh grill and mould the light around it slightly and the face of the mesh can be riveted to the surround, which can be painted black.
That would give you a mesh effect grill extension, would look great. Dnt no how good you are with mesh though can get fustrating when it doesnt do what you want it to do.
good luck

Cheers for the comments guys, well the lights are from the late mk4 polos that had the crystal clear lights, this was mainly the GTI's. The light beam is fully adjustable and also electronically height adjustable if you stick a caravan on the back or whatever. The beam shouldnt be a problem as i said they are adjustable. However i know a good MOT specialist so i will have a word!!
As for the mesha i'm not too bad am i Mick?
The Idea i have is to get hold of a polo front bumper so i have the perfect profile for the lights. Mould this onto a spare grill surround and create some light brows with Fibre Glass. That way i keep the grill a standard shape!!
