Good news! Hope for Nessy...

Mrs James has agreed to take Nessy if I can a) ensure that she's roadworthy and not a hideous mess, and b) find her insurance for less than £500/year.

Anyone in the SW (or visiting....Hugh, Chris?) up for a 'get Nessy ready for the MOT' mini-meet? If this is gonna happen (and I have a lot of logistical details to figure out), I wanna press on with it in the next couple of weeks.

By the way...this news makes me

cheers

Unfortunatly I'm not going back till Christmas :( I'd love to do a meet though. Come to think of it though, If you were travlin down and back from Derby and could give me a lift both ways I'd be up for it if it didn't interfere with lectures :D

I'm highly unlikely to be travelling both ways so close together MJ.

Helpful as ever Hugh :-P If this comes off, I'll definitely take Leah's interior.

cheers

If the alternative was a 2CV, you'd take the Volvo :sm56:

You have a towbar on the 360 don't you?

Then tow it to mine (or Griz's) and we can have a joint Uk T'Bricks/V3M December meet fixing Nessy.

Here's the "what's wrong" list...
OS Seatbelt
Wheels
Exhaust gasket
backbox
Rocker cover / breather
Tune carb?
Rear brakes?
NS steering rack joint
rust
I'm fairly confident I can sort everything there out apart from the last three, in increasing level of concern. I'm currently proposing to sort as much of it out as I can where the car sits, then drive it to the MOT, and let my garage sort the rest out.

cheers

Not sure when I'm coming back, I think the last deadline is Monday 19th, but I'll probably get it done before the weekend to be on the safe side. Not sure what the protocol is at uni, but I guess once all the work's handed in you can leave, so I may be back on the Friday or Saturday, but that's probably cutting it a bit fine... :(
