This orange warning light keeps coming on in my instrument cluster, but I have no idea what it is trying to tell me!
It comes on about once a week, then it stays on for an hour or so, then the engine cuts out.
Does anyone have any idea what the light is for and what I can do to fix it?
This is what it looks like:
Can anyone help? Maybe Foggy, with his specialist knowlege of gauges and dials?

My Dad used to tell me to treat 'Quarter' as empty so you never ran out unless the sender was completely screwed up. No idiot lights in them days .

It struggles doing 25 miles

I've had to roll down a hill with foot on clutch after not wanting to pay motorway service station prices before, and coasting into the first station in Soton

Vicky has that light on for months. After doing thousands of miles I eventualy decided to rip the petrol tank off and put a resistor between the two wires that went to it. Now gauge always says FULL

Lol, didn't you wire that up to the gas box? Does that have a pressure gauge on it to tell fullness?

A GPL or LPG as we call it in holland doesn't have a pressure gauge but a floating thingy that goes up and down whe the gas levels drops or increases. LPG= liquified petroleum gas.

Nah, the light doesn't mean a thing. When the needle passes that little white line on the left you need to think about finding a petrol station though
