mk1 tailgate

can anyone confirm if this will fit a late model? i want to put poly windows in my car but i dont want the hassle of bonding one in, i think the early ones are in a traditional rubber mount

any info would b appreciated

Will fit mate, however you will need to modify the latch as its differant. Hope that helps??? There is a couple in my local if you need them?

A mk2 screen also has the rubber mount screen, and has the later latch.

Mk1 has the seriously old looking front end....with the round headlights. 70s-1982?

Mk2 looks pretty much like a late model, but has different bumpers, and the indicator repeaters are on the wings, not in the bumper. 1982-1985?

Mk3 is what almost everyone here has, with the 'big' bumpers. 1986+

There is tailgates for all 3 models in my local mate. I reckon they would only charge £20 tops with the glass.
