Sunday's Leather Trip

Well, many thanks to Al, aka Black_360_GLT, who I met on Sunday to collect a very clean and well looked after set of leather seats for my 360. I'd removed all of the GLT trimmed seats, apart from the drivers seat, for obvious reasons, and drove up then fitted it all there, swapping my GLT drivers seat, which went home on the rear seat! Dead impressed, it's more supportive than the grey pinstripe, but still soft! I always liked the GLT standard seats, very comfortable, even after long journeys, but this is even better! So, after meeting Al and seeing his GLT, which he is selling, I headed off to meet Adam, 340GLT.

Cheers Adam for showing me around, that's one brilliant workshop you have access to! Saw the Blueline, very impressed, and also passed Gemma's car, aka Petavius. So from there, on my way home, met up with SteveP and stopped off at a pub for a drink.

Also, these pictures should prove just how effective the headlight washers and wipers are on 300's. For a gimmick in the UK, obsessed with extras etc, they are very effective. After my 350ish mile trip there, (no idea of the total mileage as the speedo only shows speed, so I'm guessing from my route planner distances, it no longer records mileage, but that'll be fixed when I get round to completing a mod on the speedo) the car was looking a right mess, especially compared to Adam and Steve's beautifully clean cars.

All in all, a good day, it's good having mates from V3M all over the country, and infact the world, as Hugh's trip also showed us. Cheers Guys.

why dos everyone take pics of the side of Steves car with the stripe still on , ? I am sure they do it on purpose lol.
glad the trip went safely and the leather is all you expected and more , just a bit concerned you might squeak everytime you move ( you know leather thong against leather seat ) and watch out for chafing LOL.
By the way Pete ,If your free next Tuesday , Chris is hoping to come up about lunchtime so pop over and say goodbye to the GLE

I think they do too, but it serves me right for not taking it off already! My fear is that it's going to mess the paint up more on this side than the other. Oh well, it'll still look better than that mess...

Nah chap! The guy who's buying Micks '60 has a polo, that currently has a leaking fuel tank, so not sure if we'll be taking that or not. And I'm still carless :(

LOL, I'll be there all being well Mick, remind me closer to the time, memory...... goldfish........and all that! It'd be good to meet up, maybe a quick bite to eat and a drink lads?

Sorry about the stripe Steve, it was me who was guilty of the pic on the vid too! Trouble is, we parked infront of that lamp post too, which we did aprreciate when we came out of the pub. I should have parked the other side of you, then we'd have had your de-striped side, and your car would have covered the dirt on my car! Also, someone left a camera case on the boot of their saloon in one of my best pics! :P

The leather interior just gets better, sooo comfortable and my back is supported even better than before, it was good then though. A good trip anyway.
Cheers,
Pete

Not sure if I'll be able to make the drink Pete, both me and Nick have lectures at 14:45... not sure how likely it is we'll make them though...
