Thing has pretty completed suspension setup, engine is ready, sounds are 50% ready, only need to make now 3d model, dashboard + rest of interior etc. Maybe 3 months
Acceleration, top speed and handling seem to be as should be, only front antirollbar and shocks need finetuning.
Does anyone know front arb diameter? What about shocks(dampers), what rates those are?
It is from rFactor http://www.rfactor.net/ Almost same game engine as in GT Legends, but bit more advanced, they call it next level engine in that series.
Rev counter and speedo are from old photos of my car
I will redo those as dimensions are now bit wrong, also needles look wrong. Must check if I could get odometer working too, I know that mileage for cars is recorded so maybe it is possible.
My car's battery got flat few days ago, so I have not have possibility to record samples of higher rev area, around 4000 revs throttle floored and keeping rpm's stable for 4 seconds should be enough long sample, could be also bit too slippery here to do it on 1st as then there is no other noises to disturbe recording.
My 3ds max is only version 5 so I can't get importing of objects from rFactor to work, script that does it works only in 7 & 8 versions. That makes things bit difficult to check how they should be done.
Bumpers, front wings and hood are at least parts that there should be as those are parts that will get damaged and also loose in accidents.
Well I've posted my renders in the 3D modelers thread you started.
I'd be glad to help, but I really need to get on with some uni assignments, so perhaps I should just let you have the Max file and you could alter it as needed to work in the game if you know about naming etc? Depends how much you know about setting up the files.
It's currently very high polly and things like badges will have to be removed and added as textures. With meshsmooth off the body should be alright.
Not sure if the game will be happy with some of the texturing techniquies used such as composite etc, will have to be checked.
In short I'd love to help but time is always short
Is that oversized fuel gauge at the front for James?
Usefull that it has a built in speedo I suppose....
No it is not, but I could do one for James car if he likes to get his car too into game That big gauge is rpm, it has speed display and also fuel 35 litres, can do still 14 laps, of course we should install one of these to 'you know who's' car
With time there will be all models, I have done now physics for my car and engine + gears for 1,7l 340GL of MJ's too, I just would need more info from 340 suspension, arb size and spring rates mostly.
Spring dimensions would be enough too + number of coils, then I could calculate rate.
