More 300s being driven?

Well, we've noticed that there are a lot of nice 300s appearing for sale and going for respectable prices. This week I've seen a lot more 300s on the road than usual. I waved to one as I drove past ASDA on Monday, followed one home on Tuesday and pulled up alongside one at the lights this morning. That may not seem like a great deal, but usually I only see one or two a month being driven. Maybe it is just a fluke and I won't see another one now until April? Then again, it could be that there are more being used at the moment.
I saluted the chap at the lights this morning and I do believe that he held back to check out the Redline. I can only assume he was taken by the stunning alloys (joke) as he had steel wheels on his.

Hmm.. I agree about them actually selling for respectable prices recently, but I can't say I've started to see more than usual - might see a 340 every 3 weeks or so, but other than at meets I've still only ever seen three 360's on the road in the last 18 months.
My MOT tester this morning said that he had a bloke come in with an '86 340 which was rusty as hell but was prepared to pay £900 in bodywork to keep it on the road - must be a fan!

Yeah, must be a fluke. Nice to see them around though.

I've actually been seeing a few 300s round here recently. Seen another GLT a few times near where I work. Plus I've seen a dodgy looking student-type with a blue 340 a few times!
Definately seem to be coming more popular though. When I first got mine most of the motor club laughed at me, now it seems they all want one!!

I've seen about 4 while I've been up here, Red 340 at uni, Blue twin to mine bar boot lip at halfords, one spotted parked at some road at night and one in ASDA.
I've seen the red one at uni at good few times and have ment to leave a note, so today I left one of my newly arrived cards. I stupidly realised that it's wet today, so I hope the ink dosn't run
I see it on fridays when I go by the rear car park so I wasn't sure how often it's here and I wanted to make sure I got the card on there

Ive noticed that since my year away ( 2004 - 2005) that there is a serious lack of 340s in manchester... i rarely see them at all!!
Having said that, I saw one in someones back garden from the tram the other day... so might post a V300M card through the door....

Bucks and Oxfordshire still has plenty about, though not as many as I'd like to see. I know of a couple of 3 door GLT Mk3's locally, a few 340's, one is as well abused and battered, but I pass it quite often, so it's being well used. I saw a 300 parked up in the local town with a roofrack, I was a passenger late at night, so spotted it as we were level with it, and as I looked back it had a GLT grille, but could have been a Redline due to the colour of it, and I don't think it had foglights.

Come to think of it Adam, I may have seen one on the way back to the train station after the Ludlow meet, not sure now. I seem to remember pointing at the side of the road as we went through town and saying 'look, another one'...

So sad. You used to see so many, and yet now I'm getting excited because I've seen three this week.
A nice Morris Traveller went past me one night this week as I was sat at the lights. I turned around to have a look at it and saw that the driver was having a look at my 340. Yep, it's started, they're becoming classics lol

I've not noticed much of an appreciation with them - yet anyway. My welded did note the rare bodykit and rather pimp interior though

Dodgy looking student with a blue 300... erm, hmmm. And what you moaning about, I've been in that club 4 months and they are all eating out the plam of my rear tyres
I was gonna try going for president and calling it the Wessex Volvo Motor Club...
As for spotting, you need to go to the Isle of Wight, they are 5 years behind in everything, and still run lots of 300's, which is a pain, cos no one ever scraps them over there, so no goodies

There are some smart examples though, A reg mk 2 '60 GLS, B reg 340, both mint, a J reg a few doors up from me, oh, and a sexy H reg... goes by the name of Kar, feeling left out at the moment though..

It's true! They seem to be rare up here, but I saw two today
A light blue/green hatch (turquoise) with a rear spoiler. I think it was E reg. It came out of nowhere, perhaps the hospital. I thought it may have been going to ASDA, you know how old people shop in the morning. *realises self was on route to Tesco*
I had a look over the hedge into ASDA but couldn't spot it and didn't totice it in Tesco either. On the way back from Tesco I spotted a white 340 1.7 hatch parked by the road. I was walking towards it wondering if I could extract a crad from my walley whilst carrying so much shopping. A guy in kwik fit overalls got in and drove a few yards to a red light. I was tempted to say something but suspected he was only a mechanic, and he got away.
