Post by Carl »

Is anyone out there able to supply some decent photos, and also the dimensions of the auxillary guage panel?

Yeah, I might take you up on that Chris. Ideally I'd like to get some info on the proper version though!

It's on my hard drive some where Carl, some where being the main problem, at a more sensible time of day or night I'll have a good look for you and rehost, might need a gentle prod and bump post though to remind me!

Thats a good start, thanks for that! Pete, if you have any other pics/dimensions then that'd be great.

Thomas beat me to it, so I'm afraid I have no more dims. Something to consider Carl would be to get hold of a more common cassette holder and use the shape of that for dims and a guide, that doesn't allow for the stepped panel for switches though as it's one face, rather than two at different angles. Both Mick and myself considered adapting one to take gauges, but 52 mm gauges are a tight fit in a pair in the opening, and any butchering would look odd I think as it would encroach on the curve.

I'm actually considering getting a pro to knock up a replica of the original one. Just waiting to get a rough idea of the price first though.

Ah good plan Carl, as I know someone was going to look into it before, but the problem with these things is it's such a fiddly small scale item that the cost normally seems too big to consider.

Well I've come across a guy who is trying to make up a business from this sort of thing, so is happy to take on small work. Plus theres the possibility of more people want them if the finished article is good enough.

Still in the early stages at the mo though!!
