Sorry chaps (and chapesses), but I have to announce that I have defected to the DARK SIDE
I had nothing to do this afternoon and so I went out and agreed to buy a 480 ES 2-litre. This is why it pays to keep yourself busy.
This also means that my only very recently acquired 360 GLS will be going up for sale as soon as the V5C arrives. Get your bids in now! (Seriously, if anyone here would like it I am prepared to take a substantial loss on it to see it go to a good home).
I will be keeping the 340 though, so really I'm just hedging my bets on the whole dark side/light (?) side thing.

Oh noes

What are you doing!
Saw Ed's GLS today - looks pretty damn tidy I must say, so it'd be worth someone getting I think.
Good luck with the 480 though....
you'll need it

Well I think I've paid the right money for the right car... and when I tested it everything worked fine (yes, everything!) and it seems to have been well looked after, so fingers crossed...
I've been looking for something to compete in the VOC Speed Challenge and I think the GLS wouldn't be quite right having driven it a bit now (about 700 miles). It needs someone who wants to keep it long-term to sort out all its little problems - I've decided one 300 series restoration project is enough for me and I've invested more in the 340.
I'll post a "for sale" notice with all the details when I'm ready to sell.

I have to say I like the 480s (ducks). The turbo I owned for a few months was lovely. Would like to own another one at some point (as a daily driver, not a 360 replacement!)

If that 480 would just be RWD, it is beautiful car, specially rear part.
