Performance Calculator

Post by SteveP »

Quite accurate too. I entered in 115bhp and 1150kg and my quater times and trap speeds are very close to what I ran at the pod in my black car :)

It doesn't work below 95 bhp/ton, so only injection 360s will work! That's actually kinda dumb, as half the benchracers in Max Powerville will be way under that. sm56

cheers

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 627
Weight without Driver (KG) : 2185
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 291.56
0 - 60 (Secs) : 4.16
0 - 100 (Secs) : 7.85
60 - 100 (Secs) : 3.69
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.13
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 124.52
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.03
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 125.87

This is what I got when I entered my Oldsmobile's data...actually quite close because I have driven it 11.98 with rear 305 slicks. terminal sp was 141.35...traction probs at the line ;)

Good job whoever made the counter.

What's the difference between Quarter Mile (Secs) and Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs)?

I thought 360s were 1050kg'ish? Correct me if I'm wrong.

My brain tells me that drag strip quarter mile is driven with glued track or otherwise improved traction...? My brain tells me lots of things tho'...

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 250
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1450
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 175.18
0 - 60 (Secs) : 6.15
0 - 100 (Secs) : 15.55
60 - 100 (Secs) : 9.41
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.50
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 96.54
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.40
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 97.63

Not bad, the 60-100 speed is roughly matched against what i did on the dyno recently.

As for the Quarter mile i've done a 14.9 but not with this chip, and i wonder if that software plugs figures in for the perfect launch.

New chip Chesh?

3dr 360s might be 1050kg, but 4 and 5drs are over 1100.

cheers

aye, swapped in my BSR chip from the estate before sticking it on the rolling road.

I was quite chuffed, was praying for 200 at the wheels and ended up with 230RWHP. Also got a nice torque curve, i mean torque line, it came up and just stayed there.

Not bad for just 1 bar of boost. Just wait till she's got fuel for a crap load more from the bigger turbo.

Wow, that's pretty awesome dude. I've obviously been out of the loop of late! That's with the new exhaust presumably...did you get a bigger IC in, or is that without it? Did you try both chips, or just the BSR? What was the logic behind the switch?

Definitely time to treat yourself to a T3/T4 hybrid (preferably with the ATP 3" wastegate housing, 360* thrust ball bearing cartridge, and various other early-spooling goodies) to celebrate :)

cheers

The logic for the chip change was due to talking to a swede who said volvo tuning shops will refuse to install a Superchip unless the customer insists. BSR allways comes up tops in tuning Motronic systems when done in comparisson tests and quite frankly it shows with my results!!!!

Allthough i wish i'd swap the chips over in the session for a true comparrison run.

Bar the Exhaust, the car is the same as the day we dropped the engine in.

I installed the chip on the morning of the dyno session and on the drive up i could feel a difference in the low down power on the old butt dyno.
