I know we have had a lot of discussion about this before but I got a new valuation for the number plate today.

this is the reply we got ( and yes the 300 is registered in the wifes name before you lot start )

Dear Mrs Nelson,

Thank you for your request for a valuation on the registration F34 SAD.
As you'll have been informed on our website, we have assigned an estimate of
£1100 to this reg. This sum is what we currently feel we could return to you
upon finding a buyer for your registration - no deductions. We don't charge to
advertise registrations for sale, instead we simply add a markup ontop of the
reg. The sum we add on is usually large enough to cover any DOT fees or
associated costs, our commission and also cover any advertising costs we may
have expended on promoting the reg.

£1100.00 thats gone up by £700 in 18 months

To be fair, they do say that it can take a while to sell as all they do is advertise the plate and wait for a customer to apply

However and coincidentally ,I had a letter today from another company asking me how much I would sell the registration plate for because the company are buying numbers to increase their stocks.

I have sent them a reply saying that ,because they would buy it and I would not have to wait for a purchaser ,I would accept £800.00 nett for the registration ,

Watch this space !!!

Well we'll see if it's actually worth what it's valued at. I dunno why someone would pay that much for it though, it's essentially just a two numbered standard plate surely.
