HELP!! HELP!!! Gauge Wiring for Amb temp/ Volt/ Oil pressure

Hello one and all.
I've had this 3 gauge pod from Foggy for about 5 months now and I've decided to wire it up

. the only prob is I can't remember where the wiring goes and how it works.
1) The amb temp gauge. It has 3 connections on the base - + G plus a top bulb with a black and grey connection. I also have the sensor from a 480 or a 360.
2) Oil Bar gauge. It has 3 connections on the base + G - (with a line on, like an upside down capital T) For this I also have the sensor to go on the engine, screw in type of thing.
3) A Volt meter, It has a + and a - on the base, also with a bulb on the top with a black and grey connection.
Please Please help as I wouls like to have this panel installed asap, thanks in advance

Right, dead simple for those!
Firstly.. voltmeter.
+ goes to the switched ignition line (so it only comes on when the ignition is on) - goes to chassis or an earth wire nearby (I guess 240's are neg earth!)
Amb temp
+ goes to switched ignition (plus), - goes to earth, and G goes to the sender. I'm not sure whether if you have a VDO 52mm gauge, if it'd work on the 480/360 sender, I can't see why not, but without looking up the VDO manual, couldn't say whether you should put the other sender wire to + or -
Oil Pressure
Screw thingy goes where your current oil presure switch is (make sure the sender you have has a switch terminal too, else the dash light will never go off) Current wire thats on your switch'd sender to the switch terminal of the new sender. Then other sender terminal to the gauges G terminal, + on the gauge to switched ignition, upside down T (another earth symbol) to chassis/ground, and bonza. Sender for that earths through the block
Backlights.
Ground all of them, and connect the other wires to you'r pos 1 light switch, via a relay (just thinking if I relay'd mine now... sure I would have done...) Doesn't matter which terminal of the bulb you earth or connect to the switch if you are using bulbs.

MWHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
All gauges almost work
Voltmeter is perfect
Ambient temp gauge is working well, I just need to check to see if it reads different temps throughout the day
Oil gauge is not illuminting, this could be down to the bulb (new one tomorrow) and the sender doesn't fit. Please can someone confirm the location for the sender
Other than that I am one happy bunny!!!!!!!!!!!!
All I need now is a 52mm econometer!!!

You need a T-fitting to place the oil pressure sender. I also recommend to use a VW oil filter w/ same thread, but it's smaller in dia so fitment is easier.

Erm! Completely lost there old boy, can you give me an idiots guide to fitting the oil pressure sender?
Are we talking the same part here? small cylindrical tube?

Glad that worked Andi, as to the oil pressure, I have some pictures of Kar's, although thats on a B14... so prolly not much use to you still, here it is anyway:

Ignore the straight through and the t piece though, thats becasue I have an oil temp and oil pressure in the same engine location

Excellent chris thanks for that, my sender seems to be way to small for the treads in the block, I may have the wrong sender (Mr foggy!!!!) hahahaha, if I have I'll try to locate one, I just wanted to make sure where it went
Thanks again buddy

Honestly Andy, you have a memory like a sieve!
I said at the time that if you were using that sender with a B2x0 block you'll need a 1/8" NPT (sender) to M14x1.5 (block) tapping. Call LowTension in Tamworth...they'll sort you out one for less than a fiver. This sender is the type with a switch built in, so no need for the T piece, and on a non-turbo car it will screw right up to the block without a bend to let it clear the manifold.
cheers

Yes, for my 240. Well, I'm after something. I still have a 52mm needle econ gauge, which I might fit.
cheers
