Xenon Like Globes(?)

Post by hatch360 »

Hey guys me again

I want a cheap and easy mod and i am looking at buying the cheapo xenon type globes but dont know what the right fitment is as i havent looked yet and i dont want 2 remove the globes until its roadworthy.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Opti-Blue-Xenon- ... dZViewItem

would these fit? what does H1, 2,3 4 ect mean? And of course what can the volvo 360 take :D

Thanks 8)

they will be fine for the 300 ,

I have been running 30% uprated" bulbs" as we call them over here

(unless your an electrician then they are called "lamps " because, as my sparky mate always says " bulbs only grow in the ground")

for over a year and the benefits certainly make the cost worthwhile

you need H4 's for the 300 the number after the H refers to the fitment

Heres a guide to bulb fitments

I think I have got these right

The lights do create a similar look but definately not the same, my mate fitted some to his car and it did make the car recognisable at night but it doesn't change like the proper HID ones do (they sort of change white-blue as going over bumps in the road, especially annoying when in your rear view mirror!) Whereas these are just a much cleaner white with a slightly blue constantly.

Just take some normal bulbs and paint them with a very thin coating of blue paint if you want that ricer look ;) Or stump up the cash for HIDs.

That's all they are, seriously - the painted glass acts as a colour correction filter. Some claim to have Xenon gas in the capsule, but I'm not convinced. Having worked in lighting, all you need to do to create the 'pure white' effect is to put a blue filter of the right shade over the lamp.

Some look green and crappy. Some look a really pure white, and pretty good. They can look really good, but choose carefully :)

cheers
