Volvo 360 GLT parts on offer

Right, the time has come sadly, I've got to start reducing the collection. I've had to be brutally honest with myself as to what I will actually achieve project wise and what I will actually get done. None of the cars are completely past it sadly, which makes it even harder, the trouble is the longer they sit around, the worse they'll get, and it could be years before I get around to restoring them or working on them. My next project is the Variomatic, so..........

ON OFFER WE HAVE........... a complete 360 GLT D reg Saloon in black.
http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... imited+glt More info here from a previous thread. I've had no time to play with it and I can't justify getting it running for no one to take it, then to have to scrap it. I'm still sure it's the fuel pump, but where it is I can't get under it to change it. Anyway, £50 it's yours complete as it is. If not, the whole thing will be broken, so put your name down now for anything you may want. The N/S front wing is rotten, the N/S front door has one dent just above the handle, but is rust free from memory, so a dent removal specialst might be able to save the door, or a skim of filler and respray, equals nice door. Rear N/S door is jsut showing signs of rust on the top edge under the window. The other side is pretty good from memory. Rear bumper is pretty poor, lacquer has all peeled, good for a project maybe. What appears to be a rust free
sunroof panel though!

NEXT we have a complete F reg saloon, this one I wanted to save, as there aren't too many about on an F plate. So, Foggy has his name down for the oilpan, fuel tank, injection system and some wiring, and maybe a front wing. This is Foggy's colour, champagne gold metallic, can't remember the code of the top of my head. SteveP wanted some doors, I'll talk to you on MSN and have a proper look around them all in the daylight and decide what you need and what I have that fits the bill.

AND FINALLY a project car. It's a 360 GLT shell, not in the best condition, but it has a Nissan 2.0 Turbo Diesel lump installed. It did run, it needs to glowplugs wiring in properly and a few things finishing off. I might have a play with this one before it goes, as it would be a shame for all the hard work that has been done to go to waste. A few quid and it's yours, we need the space, and I'm getting a lot of grief!

So let me know what you need and I'll remove it for you before they go for scrap!

I said ages I'd have to come over at some point Pete, but I still havent got round to it.

Can I put my name down for the sump, oil pump and front struts from the black GLT if no-one wants it whole?

Cheers

Ah Carl, I knew there was someone else! Right, as it stands, I only want to break one engine, I'm keeping the engine from the black GLT, but most to the wiring and system will be up fro grabs, I'll be keeping the Renix, and engine basically, as I know how good it is. So, from the F reg saloon engine, you can have what you like mate! It's a shame Andy had the remaining parts of his spare engine given away without his knowledge!

No worries, I dont really need them, just would have been something useful to have sat in the garage :)

Still interested in a pair of complete front struts though. Possibly some other bits and bobs too.

Ok, well we'll see what we can sort you out with Carl, you're more than welcome to come over when Foggy does and see what's available or any other time. We were thinking mid to late July possibly. Front struts are yours then!

Pete I'm definitely still after a pair of passenger side doors front and rear, not too bothered about colour as long as theyre rust free really. If the dent isn't too bad I'd also consider it. Trouble is transporting doors in a saloon gets tricky...

Damn, I'd also be interested in the sump and pump too.. but looks like I've been beaten. I'm gonna start pulling these from every 360 I see in breakers from now on if they're accesssible!

But someone please take the whole damn saloon, a black saloon with a bodykit would look sooo bad ass its untrue! :D

I only need the sump, as Andy is providing me with a pump :)

I'm looking for the complete injection system as far as the fuel rail...but you already knew that Pete :)

I'm still after the PAS rack, downpipe and lower half of the steering column, oh and the bracket for the downpipe sm40

I think we could pull that stuff for you when we have our 'day of works'. Alternatively, pop on down :)

I think Andy said the DP is only about £35 new from Volvo. Having struggled to get one myself, it might be easier to shell out.

cheers

Is there any chance of sell and ship the front spoiler to Portugal?

Yep, not to worry if it is a big problem then i'll just get the downpipe new, the bracket is something silly like £30 though, I haven't seen one but is it worth it or could it be fabricated? Just seems a lot for a bracket! The main bit is the lower half of the column and rack though,
cheers

Ali, will that reduce the steering turns?

Nope it'll just mean my steering won't be so damn heavy! With the B200e its pretty heavy in comparisson to 340s. There was some talk about fitting the rack from some other car to make it less turns lock to lock but can't remember what car now,
cheers

PAS B200s have slightly less turns lock to lock cos the rack seems to be geared slightly lower, but they seem to have very similar if not identical turning circles.

PM sent 340cbr!

Ali, yep, sounds fine to me, either call over when we're removing the other bits, or we can probably grab them for ya!
