Questions from B200K fuel thing under manifold with 3 hoses

Post by jtbo »

Yes, well this black part that has three places for hoses, I think it had S at middle, E at bottom and one that I could not tell what it is is at top of thing, it is cylinder shaped and one hose goes to carb, one to fuel pump and one to return line.

Perhaps I have connected it correctly as it is now so that from top goes to return line, to middle goes hose from fuelpump and to bottom goes hose that will go to carb, there was some arrows so I put those based on that.

I got plenty of fuel to filter, I also got fuel to that cylinder shaped fuel thing, but I did not get fuel to carb. However I could not start more than perhaps 3 times 10 seconds at most until got flat battery, I know that it is bad battery, but new one costs money and car still runs with that just fine

I will put power to battery tomorrow and some gas directly to carb, perhaps it will be enough to get it run.

Anyway I was wondering a bit if my hoses are connected properly?

Also I had bit trouble to decide those wires to carb and engine temp sensors, but luckily they are so short that it is impossible to put them wrong.

I guess I should make some notes or take pics how all were as I really could not remember all and it is only about a year since I did touch those last time :P

In an emergency, you can block off the return line and put the line from the pump straight onto the carb.

There's a diagram on VADIS, if you have it. If not, I can PM it to you.

cheers

Thanks, I really should checked from there first

Anyway looks like I have connected it properly, must test with electric fuelpump (this low pressure model naturally) if I could get all air bleeded from fuel system with that so would be easier for battery.

One thing to bear in mind...it's not actually a 'regulator' (I think from year-old memory that Vadis calls it a 'separator')...the fuel still pulses badly, and it won't hold a steady pressure with an electric pump. Test with care!
