Post by Stavros »

As title really. Cheap. Pretty buggered engine wouldnt bother me, but generaly need a tidy enough car.

Cheap as chips please, none of these 500quid motors, even 250quid is a push, its a base model!

Cash waiting.

Where do you live? I may be able to source one for you. Its MOT expired long ago but there may not be anything wrong with it. It's been dry stored with the handbrake off. I can find out more, maybe go round and see if it starts if you like. Image

that wheel chair seat would have been brilliant in the redline for my old man ,

you would probably get your money back selling that on

Only had a quick look at the engine bay, but I'm sure it's a 1.4 as it looks nothing like the 1.7s I've seen. I've not actually seen the 1.4 before, but iirc this one's not crossflow, and has a gert massive rocker cover like an A series engine.

Yeah, I doubt that was cheap when it was done. I've got hand controls on the vario! They weren't cheap either, got the receipt in the folder somewhere. Fun, but bloody painful if you forget when getting in and out. They really are a bit of a bodge in all honesty, as you have no actual feel, and the only thing to pull against to maintain any steady control is the steering wheel, which when cornering makes life hard. Then to brake you've quite a lot of movement from acceleration before braking occurs. Still, I'm sure you'd get used to them in time, but they're coming off soon! So, if anyone can make use of the specially adapted parts for a 300, give me a shout.
