V3M Photo Competition - Round 4 - Closing Date 31st Oct

Title:
Water...

Be creative... as long as your car and water are involved... tis all good.

Everyone has imagination, this competition is here to get you exercising it. Winner of the comp will have the right to claim the title "Almighty Phototaking Dude", until time of the next round, when the title will have to be relenquished, and re fought.

Right, a few rules, which may or may not be good, but as we need something to start from, shall be used for this setup.

*Send pictures to petefarrell4@hotmail.com for him to host them for the voting round.

*One entry per person. I don't want to kill the creative juices, but having thousands of one person and only one other doesn't seem in the spirit. Basically, inform by pm by the closing date which one if you change your mind along the way.

*1024 x 768 max res, keep the forum vaguely in check for those still on dial up, anyone who wants a bigger version can always ask the photographer.

*No major photoshopping. I know MJ likes differing exposures for foreground and background, I'm tempted to say thats cool, as are smaller tonal stuff... magazine editors are allowed to airbrush. Basically... if you make you're car look like a rally scooby... or something similar, you're out!

*Remember, this is only a trial run really, so keep within the spirit I proposed the competition. Have fun, let everyone else be impressed. No getting anal, cos no one likes it (not that I can see how anyone could...!)

*Judging: This one is important.
After the closing date for entries, all submissions shall be posted in a thread, with attached poll. Poll will have a set run to date, and after the set date, the winner of the poll will be pronounced "Almighty Phototaking Dude". Everyone should vote their own photo.

*A few extra points have been raised and discussed, in this round, I will allow old photos to be entered, (not used in previoius rounds) it's up to the voter in the end anyway.

*When I post the photos for voting, they will be anonymous, even if some are easily recognised by the car, others may not be. When it comes to voting, vote for yourself if you wish, however I will not enforce it if you wish to vote for another entry.

*Pictures in this round should be self taken however I will allow pictures taken by someone else to be submitted if it's of your car and their permission has been requested and granted for the use of the photo in the competition. This way it cannot be a googled picture etc etc.
(I agree that sometimes it's either difficult or impossible to get the right pic on your own including your car. If a photo comp may require this ammendment for a certain topic, I think it should be considered, but for this round I'm trying this format to see how it works!)

Enjoy, be creative and in the end it's the voters that decide, even if people don't agree with some rules, firstly use your vote to influence the result to reflect this and then post your idea in the improvements thread, as we are still in the early stages of this competiton!

You have until Midnight, 31st Oct

You heard me!

Knowledge is just as much about knowing the rules, as it is about knowing when to break them... I think Descates said that.... or I might have made it up, I don't know!
