New drivers side headlight/reflector

Post by SteveP »

Hmph... it seems that I may have fitted a new LHD reflector or something because the beam pattern isn't correct...

So.. wanted, drivers side RHD headlamp reflector/or full headlamp considered. Neither are available from Volvo anymore :(

EDIT: failing that, anyone know if they can be rechromed/know anywhere that'd do it!?

Steve Sorry to hear of you predicament but you might have done me a favour........ On looking in the boot of my just acquired car I was surprised to find a pair of almost new front lamp units However it seems now they might be set up for LHD as the documents for the car show it spent time in Czechoslovakia so they could have been changed when the car was registered in Britain There are no signs of tarnishing or stone damage etc to them

You are most welcome to them I could bring them to the next meet or if you find more info could you advise me which part no on the reflector or lens makes them LHD or RHD would I need to prise off lens bit etc to find out

cheers mickt

BTW the lecky windows on the GLE work really well ....tks for your post

Legend Dai, but is it for sale :D Drop me a PM if it is....

Mick, the part numbers for the reflectors are on the back of the reflector, you might be able to read it through the apeture on the back used for chanigng bulbs.

Part No's for RHD reflectors:

LH Halogen : 3287138
RH Halogen : 3287139

Part No's for LHD reflectors:
LH Halogen : 3287136
RH Halogen : 3287137

I think... I'm a noob at VADIS

Edit: You are, but I've corrected them....the stupid thing lists under 'traffic' rather than drive as far as headlamps are concerned....LHT=Left Hand Traffic = RHD in most countries ;) Andy

The big give away is the pattern on the glass. Compare them side by side and they will look alomst mirror image to the RHD ones.

Yeah - a far simpler way of identifying them, but identifying reflectors without comparing them side by side is obviously too much for me
