Hi guys. Due to my other non-working Volvo, I need to get rid of a (at least one) car.

So, who wants my 'first' 300-series?

The engine's a bit dodgy, which I think might be the famous carb issue, but the (5-speed) gearbox changes nicely, the interior is in good nick, and the body panels (in dark silver aka charcoal kind colour metallic) are nice & shiny. The sunroof works, and I believe so do the heated front seats. However, it does need welding underneath, so it's probably destined to be a parts car. Also has a towbar with working electrics.

I'm only looking for about £30 for the whole car, as unfortunately I can't break it for parts.

Is anyone interested? Otherwise, I might have to put it on ebay, and I'd rather it went to someone who can get good use out of it.

**UPDATE** - the car's got to go. I've been told to move it, or else... Don't know how long I've got, but I need to get rid. Free now, if anyone's interested - I'm sure there are parts on this car which would be useful to people - I've had a few bits off myself (parcel shelf, boot carpet etc).

If you use a free image hosting site such as photobucket to host your photos, it's the easiest way, or if you have free hosting from your server, then you need to use the IMG command buttons above the text box you post in. Simply click the IMG tag button, then after copying the location of the file (photobucket will show it beneath the picture once it's uploaded) so then finish it off without gaps by pressing the IMG button once more. Then it will link to the picture. Good luck.

Andrew, where abouts are you in the South East, does the car drive ok (i.e doesn't need towing)?

No tax or MOT, I'm afraid. Needs some welding underneath. Engine seems a little strange - it had been sitting for a few months when I got it, but got me 200 miles home okay, although the exhaust is blowing & the engine cuts out after motorway driving. Needs looking at, but I didn't bother because it failed the MOT.

Battery is flat at the moment but I could charge up if necessary. Haven't tried starting it for a couple of months as I've been a little busy.

Personally, I reckon it's probably more of a spares car, unless you like welding & stuff!!

I'm based near Legoland in Windsor.

hmm i'll think i'll leaveit then. thanks for the info though. my mate was just after the cheapest volvo he could get, but hes going back to uni today and wont have the time to come and get this. dont think he'll be wanting it either if it cuts out on the motorway lol...
