• Flasher relay location?

So I took my 360 for a little spin today to get it loosened up a bit ready for the MOT...only to find that the indicators don't flash - they just stay on! :s

Anyone know where the flasher relay is located? Does anyone have a spare...Mr Farrell?

just keep moving the lever so it has the effect of flashing. problem solved

I believe it is one of the relays attached to the steering column area under the dash on the metal clips. From memory there are four, and it is possibly the longer of the black ones. If you can confirm which numbered one it is, I can probably sort you out with one sir!

I'm assuming it's there, as there was one clicking in turn with the indicators when I did some investigating into a fault one day in that area.

I have pics of the chap now, but my hosting is currently undergoing some TLC, so no-can-upload tonight. There is a little cluster of 3 or 4 relays attached to the steering column, and it's the largest one (not that big though...more that the others are tiny), which also happens to be the one nearest the front of the car - it's kinda out on a limb!

A sharp tap and they flash as they should, but it's hardly the easiest place to get to, so I've been having to use "the AMR technique" today!

The original unit is a 'UHER' brand relay, but it appears that a "31 49 49a" (the terminals present) relay is a standard flasher type, so anything should work if it plugs in.

Emergency blinkers seem to cure those problems rather well, have had few times of these problems as my car is not used much.

I just take instrument panel out when need to gain access to that relay area, I have replaced also main power relay as it did get bit hot and melt some wires and one connector too, those old relays might need all replacing so that there would not be surprising problems in future.

Wehrle relays seem to be same size as those tiny original ones. Bigger standard size almost fits to holder, but they won't stay on place too well.
