Car parts scam

Post by Chris_C »

Hey guys, just saw this that Tim posted on the VOC (LankyTim is also a member here for those that havn't seen him about)

Seems like common sense, but I know that it's easy to forget as usually we have decent people on here. Just don't be silly!!!
Taken from the very good retro-rides forum, news of a fraudster preying on innocent car buffs on internet forums. Sounds like hes made quite a bit of money already.

THIS IS REAL NOT A EMAIL THING DOING THE ROUNDS PLEASE MAKE IT STICKY FOR ALL TO SEE.

I use several forums and a certain person has arrived and is making a LOT of money, £1000's from us. Selling non existant parts to people on various car forums. So far I know of about 5 different ones he has used and has made a serious amount on each.

BEWARE WHEN BUYING ANYTHING ONLINE THROUGH A PRIVATE AD, HE ONLY ACCEPT PAYPAL, WONT ALLOW COLLECTION AND HOLD THE BIGGEST STORE OF SOUGHT AFTER PARTS FOR ALL MAKES APPARENTLY. Links to various forums below.
