Iam verry interrested in the B23ET turbo conversion.
But i would like to know were i get in to.
I know it has discused allot alraidy but i stil not know for sure.
All the things you need to modify like the electrikal system (ill try to get some schemamaticks from the 240/740 turbo.)and if the turbo fits in place with out taking a piece out of the engine bay.(Or is this only the case with fitting an bigger turbo.)
What kined of hoses do you need to juse.
And can you use teh std 240 intercooler?(Needs a bit of hakking to fit the hose fittings on both sides .)
I already know that the waterpump and the oilpan has to be changed.
Just putting the B200 stuff there instead.
And i have a friend who has an std. B23 without a turbo in an 360 GLT.
And i know that you would have to make an custom excaust.
or iff you can use a piece of the old excaust.
I also would change the diff. or gearbox for one from a 360 B200K0 with an Ratio of 3.27:1.
I think that would do verry nicely on the freeway.
And i think from 0-100 km/u isn't going to be sutch a prob. because off the extra torqe.
And i know the clutch and te acle tube is somewhat a weak spot but i hope to salve it with a less agresive start at the lights.(It woud be a bit difficult.
I am probely forgetting something so please tell me.
I know its not a walk in the park but i do have good tools and thats halve the job.
And some crasy friends to.(Putting GTI 16V engines in std. golf MKII's and tuning DAF 66's and then getting them on the Dragstrip.
And i am living in the Nederlands so parts for the project are not inposseble to get.
But when i would start on this project it would mean i have to sell my tuned/restaured two-tone Volvo 340.
Which is a bit pianfull because its only on the road agian now for a few months. After months off tinkerin.
So i need to be sure that i can do it before i lock my self up the the barn agian.
With a month supply of beer and other stuf.
(Sorry for my bad Englisch)
