Its unlikely anyone on hear has one but thought some of the rally boys might have something lying about.

I'm after a new seat, preferably side mount and skinny b*stard spec but will consider anything?

cheers

Actually, might know of some... There was one on a 300 subframe going for pittance on ebay a while ago.

I'll have an ask about mate

I was really gutted I missed that as it was about 20mins from my house aswell  I forgot about it and checked the auction 6mins after it had ended lol, that was just a normal base mount though, really i'm after something a bit narrower and fitted

That kinda thing but can be a bit tatty as long as the price is right

Got a couple of bucket seats in my 340 at the moment. They're grey with black down the middle and have been mounted with the original 340 mounts.

Willing to sell them if a good offer is made..

Let me know if you want some pics..

Cheers

I'm not desperate for anything really, I just want something a bit tighter at the right price, i've already got a monaco in it so not really going to get better unless I go GRP, also want it lower and won't get any lower without either removing the metal parts on the floor or going sidemount...

You got any pictures or more info Dave? I'm guessing the price is going to be a fair bit though for custom grp work...

hiya , its not custom work , i have the mold .

i fit snugly in it .

this was the link i posted a while ago .

£50 cash .

colour will be grey - since ive only got grey gel coat left , i can reinforce it with some carbon kevlar around the sides if your mounting it that way .

Thats cheap for GRP buckets. How did you make the mould did you use the old expanding foam in a bin liner method?

BTW, if any of the bucket seats are replacing a set of vgc GLT front seats (the pinstripe black & grey ones) please let me know. The ones in my own GLT are pretty saggy, no comparision to the "poverty" seats in my GLi which I pulled from a scrapped vario with only 60.000 kms on the clock ...

Hmm interesting, looks good but my worries are what to do about harness slots, particularly the shoulder ones as im using 3" straps. Also doesn't look too comfy for a daily driver haha, could add my own cushioning but worried it'll look a mess and more expensive :(
I've just done my dissertation on a grp car panel so I know how much labour time goes into making something like this although I suppose not too bad once you've got the mould

its easy to cut holes , wherever you want !

and it is comfy , in a racing car seat type of way .

Yeah but by the time i've cut the 3" shoulder slots there isn't going to be a headrest left! lol, is it strengthened with ribs on the back or totally smooth?

reinforced with coremat .

the shoulder straps come round the side of the headrest if need be
