Alloys from 480
Thu Aug-26-04 08:41 PM
Just thought I'd put these in before putting them in the local paper.
4 x 14" Volvo alloys (Atlas I believe) in pretty good condition really, a bit of kerbing, but overall clean.
They came off my 480, although will fit 440 & 460 and probably 300 series, and possibly others, it's a fairly standard fitment size.
Come with 2 good tyres, one ok and one that needs replacing.
Also will give a spare steel wheel too if you want, with a good tyre.
Make me an offer or they go in the local paper! All offers considered.
I'm in Sidmouth, Devon by the way.
As I'm moving and need to clear my garden of stuff, if anybody wants them, PM me, and they are yours at no cost, providing they are picked up from Sidmouth, Devon by the weekend.

Good call - that's the shitter with fitting alloys to a 300. If you get stuck, let me know....

Premempted my question!!! I got the 400 bolts with the wheels (as a mate has one), but need to get a set of nuts. Wheres the best place to look?
The wheels themselves look sweet, one has some light curbing, but I don't think it's worth fiddling with.
Now just need to get the tyres sorted!!! In the last few days (since I picked up the wheels) I've managed about 500 miles (student kitesurf competition) and I'm sure when you know you need to get rid of a set of tyres they seem to be more slippy for some sideways action!!

How is Nessy???
I'll try and get the camera on the wheels, but as a pre-warning, no one can get Atlas's anymore!!!!

Aw c'mon - you can't call exclusive rights on one of the most common rims - especially when they were fricken free

I mean only those with exceptionally good looking alloys can make such claims...
Nessy will be on her way to deepest darkest Devon in a few weeks - to spend an as-yet unconfirmed period of time under a tarp, before being awoken and abused with a sick amount of BHP.

If all goes according to plan (haha!), she'll be the fastest 300 on the planet.
cheers

OOH - sorry - I totally missed the subtlety of that. As far as I'm aware I'm not having the alloys........maybe a deal could be done?!
