How low can you go?
Ok, i hopefully have another volvo on the way, its a 340 1.7dl 5 door and basicley how low can i go? I want it as low as it possibly can be. Apart from springs/blocks etc anything else i need to change/modify? Cheers
Take the wheels off. Then unbolt the suspension. It should then sit on the sills...

LOL, give the guy a chance nick
Any particular reason for going low other than style, as you can buy stiffer springs without dropping. Have a look at Dai's (classicswede) list of suspension bits.

Glad to be of assistance :p
I'd have thought (tho I'm not an expert) that 2" would be about as far as you could go before you start getting things fouling e.g tyres on arches, bottom of car on speed bumps/potholes etc.

Depends on the car too... GLT's are lower as standard than the rest of the range, and also how the car has been treated - saggy rear springs etc need to be taken into consideration.
It'll be the fronts that will stop you going any lower though, and 2" is a fair estimate

Well the rear arches would swollow up big wheels and a big drop no problems, loads of arch room.
The front arches are at the other end of the scale, once you get above the top level of the outer arch there is no room at all. So unless you fancy remoddelling the front inner arches they are going to dictate what wheel size and drop you can get away with.

Just to answer the question once more 3" from factory height is the lowest you can go retaining std wheel rolling radius and keeping the std strut. On the rear 2 - 3" is the relistic maximum.
