Lot of bodyroll = lot of grip, softer suspension provides more grip than stiff one, but with lack of control, however there is usually more time to react to situations with soft suspension where with stiff suspension changes are very rapid, best is then what suits your driving style best.

Older Porsches too had lot of body roll compared to newer ones

Softer suspension compared to the other Axle provides more grip to the soft axle

Always compared to the whole vehicle.

944 or 911?

I know 356 has really lot of bodyroll, 944 NA version is not best either, but not worse, also some older 911 models roll quite a lot but I think those were upgrade during years and at 80's they already should have not too much bodyroll.

But I have drive only 944 turbo, it is nice car, but somehow let down, maybe I did except too much as it is a Porsche, or at least is badged like one.

actually has 232 bhp from the mk1 turbo version, brilliant car, unfortunately I'll never own one as my feet can't reach the pedals properly even with the seat at it's furthest forward.

on another note... Manual Mk III Supra in my local paper for £600... I should be banned from reading the local paper until I can afford such things.

EDIT:

sorry, 200bhp would be correct... American tuning, would be run on 82 RON, not the 97 stuff that the Euro model is tuned for.
