help ive got a 340 1.4 1983 the mot has failed due to a part i cant find ..the car has only 39k on the clock so seems a shame to scrap it now .
the part is a reduction valve that sits on the n/s inner wing volvo part no 3298352 it has 4 pipes going to + from master and slave cylinders any help would be great to avoid it going to the volvo heaven everyone i try has newer versions in scrappys that is different or go to volvo part supplier that says part is now obsolete 01506853515 edinburgh

ty i had a look at d reg it was diff i have drawing and a fax if reqd
Early ones do come up in breakers every so often mate, but not that commonly. Might be worth checking the differences between the 2 types of valve, I know nothing much about them I'm afraid, but the later ones will be very common indeed, and *might* be a possible retro fit. I can't even remember what that valve does now

pipe from bottom rtn to master 2
top front pipe to front brakes into t piece to split L/R 3
top rear pipe topback brakes 4
pipe from bottom rtn to master 2

top rear pipe topback brakes 4
Doesn't look too far different, but I'm really not an expert. If it's any use, this is a late system, like the one John will have on his car (and I'd imagine the D plate one had)

same part as part no 19 but with a 30mm ish cylinder pn rear with no pipes in or out
