Strange Ebay selling tactics.

Post by dalahare »

There's a guy selling a 360 on ebay here in Aus, nothing too strange about that, exept that it is a ugly colour so it doesn't look too flash and i have seen alot of these not sell for $750 or less, this guy had it listed the first time at $1100, anyway, it doesn't sell, so he gets a roadworthy for it (kind of our equivalent to your MOT) and jacks the price up to $1200, still doesn't sell, so i expect him to relist it for cheaper, well he puts the ad up again, but this time for $1400!

Still doesn't sell, so he keeps jacking the price up! tried 1600 for a few weeks with no avail, now he has it at $1500 or $1900 buy it now.

At this rate he'll need to sell it for $2k to make up for his ebay fees. :P

There's a simple explanation - his wife has told him he has to sell it, but he doesn't want to let go of it :D

There's a guy on German Ebay who's been offering a 300 gearbox for the last year at least - he began at 99 Euros and he's been steadily increasing it as time goes on, I think at the moment it's at 139 Euros.

Probably trying to recoup his losses I reckon ...
