hello to all! i'begining to have loads of problems with my 340
-the fan doesen't work,it makes strange noise at startup and while idle and i have probles shifting gears(2,3)
i was wondering if anyone has the service manual in pdf format or knows how i could solve my problems

Yup have a look down to technical resources, and follow the green books link. Those are the actual Volvo workshop manuals, and quite a new feature to the site.

thx for answering on such short notice,i hope i'll find the bad wiring that causes the heater fan to malfunction cause the winter is coming and my ass will freeze if not!

Whats the specific problem with the heater fan? It's common for the heater resistor packs to give up.

i don t know wich part of the heather circuit gave up but the motor works when i conect it to 12v. could anyone help me pls?!and where is the resitors pack i've been hearing about situated?
and one more thing....where can i find a speedometer cable(new)??
i'm from roumania and the shops around here are short suplied
does the speedometer cable from another car fits??(other than volvo)

i've fixed the heater!!! ,it was a coroded bimetal contact in the resistor box!!
