This is what it says:
1031 volvo axle lsd with pics !
VOLVO axle 1031 later 1987 model witht the twin ribs in the diff housing and the larger bearings on the crown/pinion.
It has 3.72 ratio m30 with 27 spline shafts anda lsd.using a dana powerlock . ( much stronger)
Its out of a 245 1987 volvo B230E.
It has a electronic sensor in the diff cover for a electric speedo but this has been replaced with a atlas one they are a direct fit .
It has exellent discs on (not very old) and new pads at same time. inc are the handbrake cables too.
Contacted S.A.M Volvo motorsport specialist in Sweden who asked for part no of crown wheel (384715-41-11 PO5)
And a picture with cover off they confirmed the above to be correct and quite rare.
Its 54 and1/2" hub face to face.
Also have the prop for the yoke if needed ( calipers too)
Asking £125.00 for it !

If they were... Torslanda's arn't that common anymore, I've seen 3 or so this year. I really don't know much about diffs, but isn't it the 1031 that the guy on 300power fitted into the 300 diff casing? No idea of the difference between the 1031 and the 1030.
Nice ratio too, and not a bad price, shame we wouldn't want the rest... offer him a tiny fraction of the asking price for a tiny fraction of the axle

Torslanda's aren't exactly rare either though...

1031 is a bit stronger than 1030, but 1031 isn't TOO rare, it can be found on many 200- and 700-series. Our 240 has a 1031 with Dana LSD.
