NO heating help!!!

Post by silvia »

as above i have no heating,i have fixed the electricle side and the fan works now but it ownly blows cold air and a bit of warm air on the pasenger side. however when the engine is under load or gets hotter than normal it pumps steam out on the pasenger side and mists all the windows up. im gessing its somthing to do with th heater matrix??
wher do i find the heater matrix? do i have to remove the dash?

Thanks for the help

Hello, before removing the heater matrix, I would disconnect the heater hoses under the bonnet and give the heater a flush through with a hose pipe and a reverse flush will help, too. It sounds like a blockage somewhere in the heater which the flush should cure. A drop of Bars Leaks or, much better, K-seal will cure the leak. Cheers, bogbasic.

if you have undone the big nut already just give it a good hard pull - brute force and ignorance FTW
