It may be time for 'Nessy' to donate hers seeing as she's about to be dismantled. Have a word with the Foggmeister.

There's gotta be a better box than a 200k miler with a dubious input shaft!

If you're stuck, you could ask Lanky Tim if he still has Sausage. She got knocked around a bit when she went stock car racing, but the box might still be in good condition.
Last I knew, the car was still sat in a lockup somewhere out Stoke way.

True, but I thought you'd get it for everyones favourite price by invoking the
'Give me that gearbox for free or I'll ring you up at all times of the day and play pseudo prog-rock at you'
rule..........

hello there - i have a 3 door e reg 1.4 340 s door with 67k onthe clock and a 5 speed box, it has a new clutch aroun 1000miles ago because the previous owner used to sit it on the clutch a bit - i stripped her out for a 1.8 16v conversion(read this as no interior not even a dashboard-only speedo and clocks) but moving house has forced me to sell all the parts and now i have a car to flog, i am getting rid of it in febuary but i shouldn't put more than another couple of hundered miles driving to and from work.
it is in devon a few miles from exeter. and it has tax and mot for another 10 months. and it is road legal etc. if you are interested drop me an e-mail.
cheers
matt

Nessy's is perfectly functional...albeit not in the first flush of youth. If you get stuck...
I also have a box, if you can find a diff. Diffs are much easier to remove in scrap yards than whole boxes.
cheers
