Hi.
Does anyone have nay info about the "100 R-sports" that were made by Volvo in 1981?
As far as I know, the 100 were based on a standard Volvo 343 GLS!
I'm looking for any original photos and other stuff that might have something to do with the "100 R-sports"!
Regards.

Hi pistonpen paultje!
I'm the guy from Denmark which bought the one from Constant!
The reason for this thread is, that I would like to see pics of other original R-sports!
And thanks for the threads, trabitom99! I have found the first myself but the otherone I didn't find myself!
Regards.

Hi again.
I was visiting Constant 27/12-2007 and had a test drive in the car!
It runs great! Sadly the previous owner had made a lot drawings on the car (WHO PAINTS ON A R-SPORT!!!!!!

).
My goal with the car is to keep as original as possible, but it must have a cosmetic overhaul (rust repair, new paint etc.)!
I'm going to Holland to collect the car in two weeks and drive it home to Denmark!
I'll post pics of the trip later this month!
Did you have some R-sport pics?
Regards.

Wow, you're a lucky man!
I posted all the R-Sport brochures I had. There is more on V3M if you hunt for it though, in the picture gallery for example:

Hi again Tom.
Thanks for the pics!
There aren't too many pics of this rare 300 model out there, so every pic that may exist is welcome!
Regards.

Peter, I just scanned a period road test of the R-Sport, printed in "Sportfahrer" in June 1981.
If you need help with the language, just give me a shout.
Tom
BTW, have you picked up your car yet

Hi Tom.
Last weekend we drove down in my little Kia Picanto (my daily driver) to collect the R-sport from Constant!
Besides from a ignition problem (partly solved on a "raststelle") it drives great!
Check out my new avatar

It the original sticker sitting on the front wings
Now me and my father are having a great time getting it ready for the danish MOT!
I'll post a lot of pics on my webpage in the near future!
I have so many projects right now.... New B23E engine in my GLT, wedding planning, new house plans and now the R-sport!
A little stressed
Regards.

Having "Volvo 343 R-sport No. 5" in your signature is, I have to say, pretty cool
You might like to contact this chap, Nils:

Here's his car:
He's the only person I've found who has (or had) an R-Sport. Maybe he has some useful infos for you?

Awesome cars, both of them.

As you may know, we never got 340 DLS/GLS models, so no R-Sports for us. However, I have an R-Sport tuning kit, and a 1981 343 GL....do you see my plan
Do you have the original handbook for the R-Sport (the suppliment for the carbs, etc), and the fitting instructions for the tuning parts? I have those here, somewhere...
cheers
James
