I've got an ocean blue 1987 Volvo GLE 1986cc engine with around 45000 miles on the clock. I've just become a dad and as much as I love my 360 I'm going to invest in something a tad safer. I bought the 360 in 2006 when it had 29000 miles on the clock and it had been garaged all its life, since then it has sailed through 2 MOT's. I've recently fitted two new front tyres and had the cam shaft oil seals replaced. I had to fit a new back box and a clutch in 2006 and apart from that it's a very nice car with electric windows, immobiliser and heated seats (disconected). Typically it shakes like mad up to 100mph but after that it drives like a dream. It has a little damage to the front valance and zinc paint treated, slightly ugly repair by the previous owner on the rear off-side door and most importantly, no rust. I'm probably going to be buying a new car in March or April so if there is anyone who could take the old fella (I mean the car) off my hands I'd rather it went to an enthusiast than someone after a cheap car. MOT and tax until August 2008. The price would very reasonable.

...but what are you doing driving at over 100 mph? Perhaps the Carbon Trust is paying for your petrol?

I don't think they ever came as 3drs, but they certainly did come as 5dr hatches. They were saloon only for the first couple of years Mick...that's probably what you're thinking of.

A 360 is pretty damn safe, y'know ;) Together with the mk2 Golf, they're still considered to be in the same category of crash survivability as a Focus (mk1) or Astra (mk4). I'd certainly rather be in a 300 that quite a few of the 'worst' new cars on the safety front.

Good luck with the sale, anyway. I take it the shaking is wheel balancing?

cheers
