Not far from Southampton mate, couple of hours at the most, and quite a nice drive too (as long as you go when there's no traffic).
Plus you could get there via Zig Zag hill, which is a massive bonus

just had a look and sent a pm, tbh despite being free, the bits I need for my engine are mostly the electronic bits and its quite a mission to get another whole engine and find somewhere to put it. Only real bit of interest in whats shown is the block as mine needs a hone. - Though if I had space, I have had some pretty evil thoughts about a supercharged b234

i'd take it myself but have a 1.8 16v block in pieces at my house lol.

yeah, I can pick it up too as I'm only about 30 miles away but again I'm not sure on whether I actually need it! - my project is 8v for a reason so really only the block is worth having, but like I said it is tempting to store it for a while and bung a supercharger on it when time and money allow.

How easy would it be to place this engine into a 340?

to sum up... more hassle than its worth, you have to swap over a lot of 360 bits to fit it which would probably end up costing as much as just buying a 360
