My 760.

Post by V6 Man »

Given the VOC is down I am touting this car on several Volvo forums.

As some people may now be aware I have decided it is time to move on from my 760 modifying.
Thus my 760GLT is now up for grabs. I will sell it whole if someone wants it, or I will break it for spares if there is more interest that way. I will also be disposingof my entire collection of spares and sundry 7/900 series parts.

For details of the car itself please see this thread;
http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=72756

The car currently has an MOT until early June, but has no tax.

If it gets broken then the list of bits available is as follows.

All normal 1988 760 bits (lights, interior, body panels, diff etc) plus;

MANUAL CONVERSION KIT. 740’s m46/740 M47 front half of prop/260’s bellhousing/custom machined flywheel/custom gearbox mounts/260’s clutch slave cyl (Rotated to fit)/940’s brake servo and master cyl/940’s clutch master cyl/740’s clutch and brake pedal. 260 Clutch + spare clutch kit

B280E w198k, but uses no oil or water, sounds great, very clean internally last time the rocker covers were off for tappet adjustment.

ELECTRIC FAN and DCC variable speed e-fan controller

STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST WITH STRAIGHT THROUGH BOXES

DIESEL FRONT SPRINGS

BOGE ‘TURBO’ GAS FRONT SHOCK ABSORBERS

STRUTBRACE - homemade

LOWER CHASSIS BRACE (FROM A 700 TURBO)

‘MULTI-X’ 7” x 15” ALLOY WHEELS with 205/55/15 Avon ZV3's with 3000miles of wear.

OEM REAR SPOILER

EGGCRATE GRILLE WITH COLOUR CODED SURROUND

CLEAR INDICATOR AND SIDE REPEATER LENSES

FRONT WINDOW AIR DEFLECTORS

REAR LIGHTS CLUSTER WITH SMOKED UPPER ROW

SILL COVERS

960 STEERING WHEEL non airbag

‘95> 960 CENTRE ARMREST IN GREY

740 TURBO HALF-LEATHER SEATS

DASH TWEETERS

REAR PARCEL SHELF SPEAKERS

400 SERIES ECON/VOLTMETER GAUGE UNIT trimmed to fit the second DIN slot in a 760/960

CHROME RINGED DIALS

In addition there are also;

4 x SIRIUS 6x15" Alloys in good condition.
Front and rear bumpers from a '95> 965/V90 plus sideskirts
7/900 series sideskirts from Erebuni
New lower front bumper valance for facelift 700 or 900 series.
Pre 1990 740/1988 760 front spoiler in silver
Instrument clusters for V6 and 2.3T 760's.

PM/reply with offers please.

I'm taking a break for the time being whilst I reorganise my house/drive etc.

I've reached a point with the 760 where in order to keep it I have to spend a fair bit to take it to the next level and I don't think it's the right time for me to do so.

Thus it has to go, either to someone who wants an unusual car or a project base, or in pieces. Either way it's time to move on.

Must say if I hadn't bought the S40 and this came up back then, it would be tempting not to - just for that glorious noise!

Good luck with the sale, Rupert - have you tried Retro Rides? I reckon it'd go down well there... maybe a sound clip would help ;)

Of course you could always buy the engine, bellhousing, wiring loom and ECU's and finally make that 360 of yours fast.........
