I took off the front shocks today. But when I put it back on the speedo stopped working.
Anyone know if I could have knocked something loose? What should I be looking for?
Thanks

Passenger side strut you have a black cable that goes to a square hole on the grease cap for the wheel bearing. Make sure it is still in place.

Old cables get brittle and break easy if messed with - they're a bit of a weak point on these cars. I've got one which is only 3 years old which has just gone on me.

Is it an easy job to replace them? How hard is it?

Piece of p**s, getting hold of the part will be harder though - I think it's been deleted, along with most other V300 parts. Let me know because I need one too.

Volvo ones should bel available and then there are aftermarket manufacturer cables for 300-series too.
