basicly i'd like my 340 to sit the same as this 3dr...mine is a 5dr does that change anything?? could it possibly go any lower at the front or is that it's limit before its got no suspension travel left at all
and also does anyone know if 7 or 8 inch wide rims will foul anywhere being that low?? could a change of ET and /or tyre width fix it?? any recommendations for tyre width so the treads still within the arch too
sorry for all the questions

Always lower a car around the rims, buy them first then you know how much clearance you have. The one pictured had custom 5 link rear suspension, but you could fit a 3" lowering block for the same effect. Same at the front, 3" is about maximum if you want any drivability. Bigger wheels than the 13s pictured will let you get a smaller arch/tyre gap, but not be scraping the belly of the car everywhere.
I know you've got some mad roads over there so it's probably not a great idea to have the car mega low and mega stiff.

thanks... well to be honest going by what you'v said i think a 2" drop at the rear would probably be enough... if the front goes lower what will foul on the road?? is the sump close?? or will it be exhaust only??
yeah the roads over here aint great but i live near the border to the republic and would be there quiet often...you should see those roads

iv already destroyed 1 of the AMGS on my 190 after hitting a manhole size crater

tho il be ALOT more careful with my wee volvo if i get the rims i want...itl be 25mph limit for me
well the rims im thinking about are ATS classics
i havent seen these on a volvo at all

but i think the black/chrome will work well with my grey 340...
im unsure about which ET to buy so they dont foul the car... id like 7" fronts an perhaps 7.5" rears with the correct ET so they dont foul the shock absorbers and id like them to be wide enough so the lip of the rim is just pertruding past the arch a little...then i can see about what tyre size id need to strech in a little so as to keep it all legal...
thanks
these are the ats classics im on about
why wont any of my pics work?? does this site not allow imageshack hosting??
thanks again

That's Nev's custom built drift machine. It had a 5 point suspension setup welded in at the back - when I asked him if he had any suspension travel, he said he had "suspension flex". It was a very, very hard ride. Good for squirting it sideways at will, not much fun trying to actually go anywhere in it.
