Right guys im after some new track rods so i sent some people and email and got this back! :-
Hello,, thanks for the enquiry, this particular item is flagged int he quinton hazell catalogue as being for either side with the zf suspension 09/75 to 12/79.. The non zf 01/80 to 08/91 takes QR 4124 and if your vehicle has power steering they do not list anything.. Hope this helps. Ray Tyers
Now will my 1989 340 1.4 base spec have this zf suspension or the non zf

im going to assume i have the non zf dude tot he dates they list but this "ZF" is somethign ive not heard about.

ZF is a major car component supplier, mainly driveline and chassis stuff. Sounds like the QR4124S is the right inner track rod for your car. They're talking about inner track / tie rods, not track rod ends though.

I went through that catalogue recently too, also noticing that
if your vehicle has power steering they do not list anything
:-(

Are you sure you need track rods and not track rod ends?

yeah, 'tis a bit strange to require the rods themselves usually... unless you just fancy doing the whole lot?
