Not at 7k revs for long but it'll prolong it long enough 'til ya source a replacement.
No driftamundo for you this Christmas I'm afraid, bonny lad

Take it easy and it'll hold a while-wouldn't be plannin' any 500mile trips mind ya.
If the bottom ends ran out it needs a regrind anyway so might as well see how far it goes 'til it's terminal.
As it stands now 10 thou grind would maybees do, run for a while and maybees 30/40 thou grind needed-not the end of the world reaslly is it?????????

Damn that's annoying :(

Go find someone breaking another B230, get em to chuck it in the back of the 360 and spend a weekend fitting it or if you're not up to that get a local garage to do the swap?

Theyre available in Volvo 240's and 740's. Unless you want an easy life and go back to having a 2.0 out of a 360glt

This is perplexing me :?
Oil pickup blockage would surely cause a lack of oil to the heed wouldn't it??
Sure you didn't just buzz it

Zac how sure are you that youve killed the bottom end?

These cars are tough as old boots.

There's a B200E for sale on here, failing that I have a B230K you can have for £50?

read through all comments, wasnt pushing it that hard to be fair.

also it didnt so much go BANG . but is really loud and noisy tappin/knockin noise. and local garage said it sounds like bottom end gone.

Finally where abouts are you ? and how much to get engine couriered to ivybridge, devon PL21 0XZ ??

Cheers
Zac
