i have a 1.7 340
i bought it to drift
but it doesnt seem to want to
i know i should have a welded diff but its not that as this happens in the wet too.
whenever i clutch kick it the engine wont pick up revs (only on roundabouts) it just seems to cough and splutter. its as if when the car is leaning to the left it doesnt get much fuel and wont pick up revs.
then when the car is level again it will rev fine.
it also does the same with the handbrake too
could anybody point me in the right direction of what could be causing this.

i serviced the car 3 days ago and this hasn't helped one bit.

this 1.7 was to replace my old 1.4 but i never encountered this problem with the 1.4

any help is much appreciated
cheers

sounds like a fueling problem my mates 1.7 did the same and it was the pick up in the tank loose and moving about

from what remeber it was a bi*ch tank off job but u need to check fuel pressure first see if it changes when the cars on different angles etc just to eliminate the problem

When mine was doing this it was the floats in the carb needing height adjustment.
