Steering wheel question.

Are aftermarket bosses interchangable?

I.e. will a mountney boss fit a momo wheel and vise versa?

Mountey and Momo fit each other, this much I can say for certain dude. Pretty sure OMP/Sparco etc can all fit the same way too as there isn't a huge variety of steering wheel specific bosses out there.

My mate with the mk2 Escort says that they will all fit using one type of boss. I assume there will be some exceptions to the rule, but on the whole it should be fine.

I believe older mountney boses are wider spaced/more holes. newer ones are the same as momo etc.

There are 2 types of mountney boss, one for the old style wheels, and one for the chav style moulded lumpy oddness wheels. I believe the momo/sparco/OMP are the same as the mountney 'M' range (new 'tuner' stylez yo).
I shall measure my mountneys, and my momo tomorrow. With digital calipers.

There are still a lot of "classic" steering wheels you can bolt to a mountney boss. They come in all sorts of different styles, some of which don't look classic at all - there's bound to be a few out there which float your boat. I've got a grandad spec wooden one which matches my paint with chrome spokes and a big heavy chrome horn push. Honestly, it looks better than it sounds

I had my eye on a specific suede, dished momo man. And I already had a couple of mountney bosses, thats why I asked.

Ive bit the bullet now and splashed for a 205 momo boss though. So i should be right for getting me mitts on the momo now. fingers crossed.

And if someone comes on this thread now and says that pug momo bosses dont fit three hundreds, I swear to god im going to smash the internet to tiny pieces in a rage so violent and terrible that it'll make the very fabric of time and space quake.

Watching one on ebay dude? (wheel) I know of a reputable OMP supplier based in Thailand, he's an ex-pat. Is on Turbosport as well and is very reliable. Truth is they are probably sneids but haven't seen any complaints from the classic Ford boys, and you know how discerning they can be! He gets the Corse 3" dished jobs in a variety of styles.
