1x 89 1.4 front twin down pipe £40

it on the car for not very long from memory, still in good condition will check when it was brought, it will have been of the car a year come may the 3rd

What's it off? The floorpan's the same on the varios and manuals, and I doubt the bar will reach past the fuel tank to get to any of the odd bits.

came of a g reg 340 1.7 manual.

Saloons and hatches are different in length, but since both are 340s it should be gravy.

well it came of a hatch. so i see no reason for it not to fit its ofical volvo one anyway

Stefan's is hatch too IIRC, so yeah it should bolt right on.

Some geeky info on towbars - early Mk1s had a different version. As far as fixed (ie non-removable) hatch towbars go, the catalogue lists two types, one for '76 - '79 and one from 1980 onwards. The difference between them is that the early version can only take 1000kg, whereas the later version can take up to 1500kgs (even though the car can't, in theory).

Another difference is that the later version "fits into the pre-drilled holes" whereas there's no mention of this for the early version.

Nit-picking there, the later version probably fits your car just as well, Stefan ...
