360 Fuel Hose

Post by Ste00 »

My 360 is leaking fuel from the hard pipe above the intake (just as it goes into the fuel rail), 2 weeks ago i had to cut the line off to change some stuff around and now it doesnt seem to fit quite the same, is this pipe a heat shrink pipe or should i just put a clamp on it?

Sorry, not quite sure where you mean by fuel rail, do you mean part of the injection system?

You don't mean the fuel tank do you? If so see here http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... f=6&t=1034

The peice inbetween the Filter and the injector rail, its rubber coated but has a hard inner, i have put it back on but it doesnt seem to sit the same as before and its leaking slightly (not good right over the top of the engine...)

That stock hose is meant to be heat shrinked on to the fitting so I don't know how well you can seal the old hose back on.

I had new hoses made with proper fittings (as I don't like hose clamps in the EFI pressure-side at engine bay :P) at the local hydraulic shop.

Of course you can source one from scrap yard but old hose is always old.
