hi,i cant get my full beam to come on?
when i pull the stork back it doesnt do anything!
ive checked the fuses and there fine,any ideas?please

Had the same problem on the 343, checked the relay, wasn't that, turned out to be the stalk itself. Easy to change, a few bolts off the steering column surround, unplug the thing, fit a new one and away you go ...

if its not that,anyone got a spare?
tested the 4 bar relay in the main fuse box,not sure if it was the right one though as the dip beams work even without the relay in(black 4 pronged one)

don't know, and i don't have in my head wich relay it is in a 343. all i know that in 340/360 de main beam relay is that big silver one

the only relais i know in a 343 are the blinker relais (round ones) because they tend to break from time to time, very funny at the v3c technical days.

They're the same on my '80 343 and in my '88 360. I swapped them over to see if it was the relay at fault - they're interchangeable. And yes, you can't miss it, it's the only silver one in the whole fuse box

Just a thought before you spend any money .... had he same problem, and found a small screw had dropped out of the bottom of the switch assembly (there are two - one above where the stalk comes out, and one below). Aforementioned one had dropped into the cowling of the steering column. Replaced it and full beam came back immediately. Probably not this, but worth a look.

ovlov is breaking a 340, try PM'ing him ... Otherwise go along to a meet - that way you can swap the relays over and see if that's where the problem lies.

Firstly, can you feel the mechanism when you pull the stalk back, or does it feel more floppy than before? If it feels floppy, either the bottom screw has come out, or the bracket at the top has snapped (more likely tbh)

If the switch doesn't feel floppy, then it's likely an electrical problem, which will be a case of a multimeter and chasing voltages. I'd guess it's the mounting bracket though

Hi mate.
I fixed my broken mounting bracket with belive it or not piano hinge.Cut off about 3 inches and split in two.
Drill a hole in each end and put screws back on.This ensures the bracket will never brake again.
