Hi, I have a R5 GTT with stock 1.4 engine, 60hp, when I bought it it had 1.7 engine with gtt carb.

Now a question, can I put a B20F engine from a 94 Volvo 440 in it, will it go bolt on bolt?

Yes but the block of the B20F is taller than the 1700. And you will need all mounts and gearbox from the 1.7 but it should bolt in as its the same engine family.

I was planing to use a carb from gtt, its solex 32 dis with lpg... will it be good for 2.0???

no, definatly not. that will run way too lean.

even with bigger jets, the mixture won't be properly adjustable since the gtt solex has a relativly small venturi.

Then what carb you think I should use??? I repeat I'm driving on LPG, not petrol

even on lpg that carb will be way too smal on a non aspirated 2.0, on a turbo 2.0 it will be a close call but it won't be ideal.

think you're better off with a twin venturi version (solex from b200k), or an older stromberg (supersimple carb) used on the b19
