Must be about a month since I started trying to change my clutch, work always get in the way!
Anyway I was hoping to start the car today but I couldn't fit my down pipe. Ive taken the rear engine mounts and manifolds back off in an attempt to fit it.
How does it go on?

you dont need the rear mounts off the bellhousing it will go in with them in place. Allign flange vertically and slot up behind rear engine mount and as you oush it through twist it to allign it. Should go straight in.

will heat wrapping round the down pipe make this more difficult?

more difficult yes, impossible no. principle stays the same.
when heatwrapping the b14 downpipe, make sure that you can still support the engine with that steel bracket/beam that goes to a bolt for the starter motor, saves you a cracked manifold in the future!

The bracket is still accessible, I was careful with that bit, but it just doesn't want to go into the car, an the heat wrap now looks like its about 10 years old, must be the worst clutch change ever.

Its done, an extra pair of hands is always helpful, especialy when they do most of it for you
