Re: 14"minilite widths
I dont know for Gospel dude, but Ive had 7js on mine before, and there was rub at the front on full lock.
So i wouldnt go any higher, specially if youre likely to be using lock at speed bud.
Hope that helps a bit, but probably not much eh?

i run 7j's all round with no rub! offset is important too!volvosneverdie wrote:I dont know for Gospel dude, but Ive had 7js on mine before, and there was rub at the front on full lock.

with 7j offset of 25>38 will be fine with no rubbing.

very important detailvolvosneverdie wrote:And he keeps his underpants under his trousers.
on the rear you can run 8j with a low offset; don't remember what offset that will be though, i believe Nikdev has/had 8j's all round, you do need some really handsome suspension to be able for placing 8j's on the front though, on the rear this isn't such a big issue.
Re: 14"minilite widths
So what tyres will be best on 7j,s width and profile?
Re: 14"minilite widths
Same with my 15x7's, no rub at all, unlike my 14x5's... but thats a tyre thing.volvodspec wrote:i run 7j's all round with no rub! offset is important too!

I run 195/50 15's, so the equiv of that for a 14 will do you fine.

Re: 14"minilite widths
mine's are 15x7 too
195-55-14 will be allmost the same diameter size as original tire (or 195-50-15) , i do recommend to put 15" wheels under it, a huge tirewall is only cool on offroad vehicles
195-40-14 would be cool too though
check out this link, maybe it will help you: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Not very good Copys though.
Even secondhand mini/super/ultralights are gonna stand you 2-300 with poor rubber man.
They're an expensive wheel.
Watanabe do a good minilite style 15in wheel and there's Compomotive MLs, but big money man.
Re: 14"minilite widths
Minilite is the original company that made this design of wheel and they are still about as far as i can tell.
Ultralite's/Supalites etc are all pretty much exact copies made by other companys of the original Minilite, so i'd wager a guess that most of the Miniltes out there aren't genuine Minilites, enough waffle and i hope that makes some sort of sense?
Minilite can be found here http://www.minilite.co.uk/index.htm
Try these aswell if you haven't already, but i know a majority of their wheels are replicas and not the genuine article hence the cheaper prices http://www.midlandwheels.com/

Whats the matter with the car i'm driving can't you tell that it's out of style?

Re: 14"minilite widths
You Sir are a man of exquisite taste
Not been on their site for a while and when i saw the black ones you put above, i had a "do want" moment aswell.
Maybe the paint should come out over the winter on mine?

as long as youre not thinking of gaudy Driftworkz orange/green/pink.
satin black, white or colour coded for the epic winz.
